CFL Eastern semifinal: Tiger-Cats and Lions look
CFL Eastern semifinal: Tiger-Cats and Lions look. For the third
consecutive season, the West Division team will play in the Eastern semifinal,
as Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-10) will play with B.C. Lions (9-9)
in the Tim Hortons field on Sunday.
This
is a match that many did not predict at the start of the season, given that
both teams could not qualify for the playoffs last season.
The
Lions return to the postseason after their 20-year playoffs ended in 2017, when
they finished fifth in the West with 7-11 innings.

Hamilton
could not overcome the start of 0-8 in the 2017 season, finished third in the
East with a score of 6-12 and lost to the playoff endpoint of the Saskatchewan-Rutriders,
who crossed from the west.
Now
both teams will fight for the opportunity to play in the Ottawa Redblacks in
the Eastern Finals and book a ticket for the Gray Cup in Edmonton.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats
This season, the Ticats had their ups and downs, but the weak Eastern Division allowed Hamilton to take the place of the playoffs with a record below 0.500. Jeremy Masoli's quarterback was an Eastern candidate for the most outstanding player, completing 66.1 percent of his passes for 5,209 yards, 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

Unfortunately,
the tigers will be without their biggest weapon in Brandon Banks, who broke his
clavicle in a Redblacks lost in October. The
30-year-old has managed to finish second in the CFL with 1,423 receiving yards
and is tied to the league lead with 11 touchdowns.
Hamilton
had problems since Labor Day, with a drop of 3-5, including three direct losses
to end the season. This
recession cost them the opportunity to get the first place in the East and this
important week.
TO OUR ERA Lviv
It was not a great start to the season for B.C. They were 3-6 in the first half, but head coach Wally Buono brought his team to the final 6-3 in the second half and for the playoff final.

Both
Travis Lulai and Jonathan Jennings made their way to the center of Lviv, but
Lulai was anointed with a starter after Jennings fought at the start of the
season. It
was a difficult road for a 35-year-old boy after a knee injury that ended the
2017 season after six games.
The
Lions secured a spot in the postseason in late October, defeating the Edmonton
Eskimos thanks to a three-run game by wide receiver DeVier Posey, who signed
after the Baltimore Ravens were eliminated. The
Silver Cup 2017 was one of the many additions that GM Ed Hervey made to back
his list, he also acquired Tyrell Sutton of Montreal and Shaun Lemon of
Toronto.
While
Hamilton's story was lost to the players as a result of injuries, B.S. it
becomes healthy at the right time when All-Star winner Solomon Elimimyan
returns to the wrist injury line, which he suffered on July 14.
